Our Story
EcoGreen Landscapes was founded by Gian Michele, who grew up in a family of passionate gardeners and landscapers in Italy. From the age of 12, he assisted his father and learned the skills and values of the trade. His father’s landscaping business cared for residential areas, luxury hotels, and resorts in Costa Smeralda, where Gian Michele discovered both his love for nature and the importance of working to the highest standards.
At 26, he opened his own landscaping company in Italy, managing large-scale projects for office campuses, resorts, and public contracts. Seeking growth and new opportunities, Gian Michele later moved to Ireland, where he was captivated by the country’s greenery and natural beauty.
In Ireland, he worked as a foreman, gaining hands-on knowledge of Irish plants and landscapes, before moving into roles as an operations manager with leading landscaping companies. This experience gave him a deep understanding of both local nature and large-scale project management.
Guided by his passion for nature and commitment to sustainability, he founded EcoGreen Landscapes—one of Ireland’s first landscaping companies to run entirely on battery-powered, zero-emission machinery.
Today, EcoGreen Landscapes reflects Gian Michele’s mission: to build on a foundation of family passion and precision, while embracing modern, eco-friendly innovation—creating outdoor spaces that are as sustainable as they are beautiful.
